Three ways we help.
We build software for one business at a time, and we train staff to use AI on their own work. Wondering if there are any improvements to be made harnessing AI? We are here to help!
Permanent fixes for old workarounds
Off-the-shelf software is built for the average version of your industry. You are not the average version. The gap between what it does and what you actually need is where the manual work lives, and that gap is what we close.
You get something you can click on inside the first couple of weeks, so you are reacting to a real screen rather than approving a document about a screen. When it is finished it belongs to you outright.
Talk about a buildThe kind of thing we build
Quoting and pricing
Your pricing rules written down once, so every quote comes out the same whoever builds it.
Job and order tracking
One place to see what is booked, what is late and what is waiting on someone else.
Paperwork that files itself
Invoices, orders and forms read as they arrive, then sorted and entered without anyone retyping them.
Reports that write themselves
The monthly numbers someone currently rebuilds by hand, arriving in your inbox instead.
Customer portals
Somewhere for clients to check status or send information, which cuts the phone calls asking.
Joining up what you own
Your booking system, accounts package and spreadsheets talking to each other with no person in between.
AI skills for the staff you already have
Most businesses already have access to AI and barely use it, because nobody has shown them how it applies to the work they actually do. Generic training does not close that gap. We sit with your staff and go through their real jobs, using their own files, until they can do it without us in the room.
A good part of the value is knowing where these tools do not belong. Some tasks are quicker the way you already do them, and some should never go near an AI tool at all. We will tell you which is which rather than finding a use for the technology.
This works better as a run of sessions than one long afternoon. People need to try it on live work, get stuck, and come back with questions. If you would rather have somebody in-house owning this properly, we help you shape that role and get them up to speed.
Ask about trainingWhat sessions cover
Your work, not examples
We bring your quotes, your emails and your documents into the session rather than a generic demo.
Spotting a wrong answer
Where these tools get things confidently wrong, and how to check before it reaches a customer.
Building small tools
How to put together the simple stuff yourself and recognise when a job is bigger than that.
What to keep private
Which information should never go into these tools, explained without a lecture on data policy.
Where it does not help
An honest look at which parts of your day are already fine, so nobody wastes a fortnight automating something that took four minutes.
Someone in-house who owns it
If you want one person responsible for this, we help you decide what the role covers and train whoever takes it on.
What your staff can do afterwards
-
01
Turn a morning of supplier emails into a clear list of what was ordered and what is still outstanding, in a couple of minutes.
-
02
Draft a quote from rough site notes and check it against your own price list before it goes out.
-
03
Produce the first version of a monthly report and know exactly which figures still need checking by hand.
-
04
Tell when the tool is guessing, and stop it there instead of after it has reached a customer.
Honest advice for the AI-curious
A lot of people running a business keep hearing that AI matters and have no idea where it would touch their own work. Nobody wants to spend real money finding out. So we do a session for exactly that. You walk us through how the place runs, and we give you a straight read on which parts AI could genuinely help with and which parts it could not, plus a rough figure for anything worth trying.
There is no product waiting at the end of it. If the honest answer is that you are fine as you are, that is the answer you will get. It has been the answer plenty of times.
Book a sessionWhat you walk away with
-
01
A plain reading of where AI fits the work you actually do.
-
02
The parts of your operation to leave well alone, and why.
-
03
A rough cost and effort figure for anything that looks worth doing.
-
04
No obligation to build anything with us afterwards.
A job we get called about constantly
One person knows how it works
There is usually at least one job in a business that only a single member of staff can actually do. Month-end numbers, or the pricing on anything non-standard. It runs on what that person remembers plus a spreadsheet they built themselves, and it works fine right up until they are on holiday, off sick, or hand in their notice.
Then it becomes an emergency. Somebody else opens the file and cannot follow it. Work backs up behind a task nobody is confident enough to touch. Plenty of businesses end up ringing a former employee at home to ask how the thing was supposed to work.
We take that job out of one person's head and build it into something the rest of the team can run, with the steps written down in language anyone can follow. Then we train your other staff on it. The knowledge ends up belonging to the business rather than to whoever happens to be holding it.
How we train the rest of the team →Worth knowing early
We build new, we do not go inside what you own
Everything we make is built from scratch. We do not go into the business software you already pay for and change how it behaves. If you run a booking system, an accounts package or something written for your trade, it stays exactly as the people who sold it to you built it.
Where we are useful is everything around that software. Getting information into it without a person retyping anything, and taking what comes back out and turning it into something you can act on. We also cover the jobs it was never designed to handle, which is usually where the spreadsheets crept in.
So if what you need is a change inside a program you bought, the people who make it are the right call. We will tell you that in the first conversation rather than after you have paid us to find out.
How it goes
Four steps, no surprises
-
Step 01
A call
Half an hour on what is going wrong and roughly what you had in mind to spend.
-
Step 02
A written price
What we will build, what it costs and when you get it. The number does not move afterwards.
-
Step 03
You see it weekly
Something working in front of you every week, so changes happen while they are still cheap.
-
Step 04
Handover
Training for whoever will use it, plus the keys to everything. Ongoing help is there if you want it and never required to keep the thing running.
Next step
Start with the problem, not the service.
Most people are not, at the start. Describe the problem and we will tell you whether it is something to build, something to learn, or something you should leave alone.
